“To see a world in a grain of sand. And a heaven in a wildflower. Hold infinity in the palm of your hand. And eternity in an hour” – William Blake

This is all about imagination, vision, seeing the big picture and experiencing the Connection to the divinity of that Universal Light that passes all understanding.

In the words of the mystic Hermes Trismegistus ‘as above, so below; as below so above’, which signifies the harmony, agreement, and correspondence between the everyday ‘things’ of Life and the ethereal essence of Being. All that comprises the Universe emanates from and is part of the same source.

The grain of sand may be tiny and the world huge but the implication is that the tiny flower or the grain of sand are still perfect, and complete reflections of the same Eternal and Infinite Truth.

The sense of awe and wonder evoked by these reflections have a significance and meaning that goes well beyond the apparent simple state of the purely physical dimension.

The child-like delight of looking at simple things with true, unintentional ‘awareness’ connects us brilliantly to the divine. It is what T S Eliot called ‘The Unattended Moment’, when, entirely absorbed and without ‘thinking’, we become who we most truly are…
