Seeking and needing acceptance and love from others is a recipe for anxiety and suffering. It cannot work.
Striving to be who others want us to be is placing our worth, our happiness, our soul, into the hands of others. It is giving our power away.
Attempting to be someone other than who we are is, ultimately, hypocrisy and untruth. Inner peace will always elude the dependent, disquiet mind.
When we learn to understand who we are at the deepest level, we discover that our natural state is one of kindness, compassion, simplicity, acceptance and love.
As we start to flow in harmony with nature, our beliefs, behaviours and actions reflect these virtues. We start to accept ourselves. We begin to love the spirit that is in us and is also in everything. The void of anxiety fills with all-encompassing beauty and peace.
Be gentle, caring and loving. Be yourself. Be humble. Serve others. Do good.
Be yourself.
You are beautiful.
You need nothing else …
