Living in the moment does not mean not taking sensible precautions about or planning reasonably for the future, but it does mean not allowing fears about the future to dominate our thoughts and destroy our ability to enjoy the only time that exists, which is the eternal Now. These words are mirrored in the ideas of almost all the philosophies of life. Life cannot be lived if it is crowded out by anxieties about the past and fears about the future …
