Meditation is very easy and can be practised by anyone, anywhere and at any time.

All it takes is to be quiet for a while and to listen in silence without judgment (‘listen’ is an anagram of ‘silent’ for a reason!)

The frenetic avalanche of thoughts that crowds our minds and causes us to stress then slowly recedes, to be replaced by a state of profound and utterly absorptive contemplation, undisturbed by desire, anger, fear, anxiety or any other ego-generated thought or emotion.

It is a state of joyful calm in which one maintains full mental alertness. It is refreshing and invigorating and leaves us feeling enthusiastic for life and with positive energy.
Those who say they have no time for meditation will eventually have to find time to deal with the illness of stress.
