“Be happy for this moment, for this moment is your life.” – Marcus Aurelius

The only time that truly exists has ever existed and will only ever exist is now. Everything else is a thought, either in the form of a memory and image of the past or in the form of a constructed mind picture of an anticipated future.

We can use the present moment to dwell on the past or think about the future. And there’s nothing wrong with that, as long as we realise that life can only be truly lived now. It cannot be lived in the past or the future.

If we spend too much time thinking about the past or living in the future, we are encroaching on our ability to live life fully in the only moment that actually ‘is’, which is the eternal now. And we then wonder: ‘where did all that time go?’

When we make space for events to happen, and we give ourselves totally and completely to them, accepting them for what they are, we in effect become that space…now.
Time then ceases to fly by and suddenly stands still, eternally…we are fully in the present moment and there is nothing missing…
